The documentary Joseline’s Cabaret: Miami follows the daily hardships of Joseline Hernandez as she attempts to open a cabaret show in the Miami, Florida, area of the United States. There is a strong resemblance to the 1998 film The Players Club in that it is set in G5ive Miami, the strip club where Joseline worked a decade earlier.

Set in an Atlanta mansion, Joseline’s Cabaret: Atlanta tells the story of her second effort to start a cabaret act. Real-life competition elements are included with Joseline and Balistic sharing the house with 10 girls; the top four cabaret performers are cast, and an overall winner receives a monetary reward of $10,000 and the chance to play the cabaret in Las Vegas.

In addition to Blue Face Barbie (Lauren Woods) from Miami, Aqua (Kasie McCalvin) from Detroit, Lexi Blow from York, Pennsylvania, Big Lex (Fonda Foster) from Atlanta, Mz Natural (Ariel Robinson) from Gary, Indiana, Chanel Tso (Anaiah Wilson) from Houston, and Yummie P (Alexandria Lynn) from Long Beach, California.

As the season progressed, Blue Face Barbie and Aqua left the show, while Joseline gave the title of “cabaret captain” to each of her contestants, starting with Lucky, then Yummie, then Sapphire. All four finalists are invited to join Joseline on stage for the cabaret, and Chanel is awarded $10,000 for her performance.
